Internal project, carried out among members of the collective to explore the insurance sector. This is not a client engagement: “Alizé Assurances” is a demo brand.
Context
The need we imagined, based on what we hear in the sector:
About 60% of home insurance claim files reach us incomplete. Our claims handlers spend their days chasing an invoice, a blurry photo or an accident report. Many of our policyholders are over 65 and file claims by phone.
Typical client: A mutual insurer with millions of policyholders, many of whom file home insurance claims from their phone.
The challenge
- 1
A complete file the first time
The list of documents adapts to the claim, and each photo is checked (legible, well framed, in the right format) at the moment of upload.
- 2
For every policyholder
RGAA-compliant journey, large text, one question per screen, resumable at any time or by phone.
- 3
The claims handler decides
AI prepares the file and flags what’s missing. Compensation remains a human decision.
The engagement we would run
Typical 7-week engagement
Here’s how we would run this engagement for a real client. The screens and demo below were produced during the internal project.
- 1
Research · Weeks 1 and 2
Listening to 40 claim-filing calls, interviews with 8 policyholders including 3 over 70, and 6 claims handlers.
- 2
Design · Week 3
6-step mobile journey, guided photo capture, dynamic document list, claims handler screen with a file ready for review.
- 3
Development and testing · Week 4
Photo and document verification by a vision model, tested with 7 policyholders on their own phones.
- 4
Accessibility · Weeks 5 to 7
RGAA audit of the journey, screen reader and 200% zoom testing, fixes and accessibility statement.
The team we would bring in
3 leads, one role each

The screens

Guided photo capture. One instruction per photo, an example, and an instant check: legible, well framed, retake if needed.

Documents to provide, tailored to the claim. The list changes depending on the type of damage. The policyholder sees what’s been approved and what’s missing.

File ready for the claims handler. Claim summary, verified documents, points to watch. The claims handler approves or requests more information.
Interactive demo
You’re filing a claim from your phone
The app tells you exactly which documents to send and checks each photo before upload.
Your turn
- 1Choose the type of claim
- 2The document list adapts to your situation
- 3Add documents: a blurry photo is flagged right away
Build the document list
The list adapts to the claim. Add documents: one photo will be judged blurry, just like in real life.
Target outcomes
- Complete files on first submission · Target: from 40% to 80%
- Time to file a claim · Target: under 5 minutes
- Follow-ups per file · Tracked by type of claim
What the client would receive
- Summary of call listening and interviews
- Mobile journey and claims handler screen
- Working version of document verification
- RGAA audit report and fixes
